Welcome to the Memory and Cognitive Aging Laboratory website

***NOTE - I will be considering doctoral applicants for the Fall 2024 academic year ***

The Memory and Cognitive Aging Laboratory (MACAL) is directed by Professor Moshe Naveh-Benjamin and is located within the Department of Psychological Sciences at the University of Missouri. Research in the MACAL is aimed at addressing fundamental questions regarding human memory, and is primarily divided into two lines. The first line is aimed at better elucidating the mechanisms that contribute to adult age-related changes in episodic memory and working memory. The second line concerns the interplay between attention and memory. More information about the research in our lab can be found on the Researchers page.
